Let it slide,
Let your troubles fall behind you
Let it shine
Until you feel it all around you
And i don't mind
If it's me you need to turn to
We'll get by,
It's the heart that really matters in the end
-Little Wonders, Rob Thomas
UPDATE : The trailers in this post is making the blog hard to load or maybe it's just me. So, I'm gonna cancel it off but you can get all of them in Youtube, yeah?
I just had an incredibly long morning before I started switching on the modem. Time has that distinct effect a gust of wind would do to you when you're on the Internet. Apparently, time elapses as quickly as Paris Hilton losing her phone when I'm in this satiated realm. Or, maybe it's just me. I'm currently still reeling from the fact that I'm not in our birthday girl, Ghia's party. That is why my morning was so emotionally draining because of the fight I had with the father. But no matter, I wanted to go as much as I want to meet Ben someday, but it's not as bad. I get to have the whole house to myself on a Saturday morning. I can hear no birds chirping or trees rustling around me to make this seclusion seem pleasurable, but the emptiness and the quietness of it all is, very comforting.
Since the father is being very unreasonable, I will not bother. Hm, am I getting a tad bit whiny these days? Worrying is what I do most of the time, but the only reason I worry is to ensure that I'm aware of the unhappy ending ahead so my hopes won't be crushed. Whining, on the other hand, ah - I don't think I do a lot of that. I believe that complaining about a certain happening gone wrong is fine but going on at it for a long long long long extensive period of time is just stupid. It's not going to change anything.
My, I got carried away with my usual nonsensical ramblings! Oh my God, a revelation! I may not whine that much, but I think I ramble a lot. This post is about movies. I've been watching a lot of movies these days, thanks to Dan and his nifty pendrive but I keep pausing the movie to go browse other things. I have another one of my lengthy list about movies we all must not miss out on. Okay, mainly me. Most of them won't be premiering soon, they're mostly coming out in Malaysia at the end of this year, next year or maybe a couple of years later. Here's to waiting.
#1 Public Enemies

It's Johnny Depp. As the notorious outlaw, John Dillinger during the Depression era with Christian Bale constantly chasing his tail. I'm pretty sure each and everyone out there had set their minds to watch the movie. At least, all the people I know seemed to be on the edge of their seats waiting to watch Johnny in action, while looking impossibly suave! For me, it's out of curiosity and whether the movie lives up to its hype. Watching Johnny and Christian isn't a bad thing at all either.
#2 The Proposal

Sandra Bullock, after years and years of absence since her last massive comedic role was as Miss Congeniality. Not to mention, acting alongside with swoon-worthy Ryan Reynolds upped the ante for this much-anticipated romantic comedy. A pushy and bitchy boss forces her employee to marry her so she can keep herself from being deported? Ah, the predicted humor from both of them as they try to bargain their differences would be priceless. As a true romantic comedy fan, I suggest everyone watch this.
#3 Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I'm not a Harry Potter fan and never will be. I've never read the books either. The furthest I've gotten to is the first page of the sixth book! I think I made a pact subconciously to never read the HP and Twilight series. I admit I don't like to like things which are overly commercialized or loved by everybody. For instance, Harry Potter and how it supposedly takes you on a "transformative" journey.. or Twilight and how it makes you fall in love with the whole idea. Maybe it will transform me or make me fall in love if I would give it the time of the day, but I'll pass. I've never read the books and I can't judge the movies because I've never read the real thing. Watching HP is like a routine, I do it every year when the movie comes out. Just for the sake of watching it :)
Fans of the series please calm down and put down your wands.
#4 2012

THIS, is something I know I'd love to watch. Have I told you I've always liked the idea of the world ending and just watching how we humans face the situation? That is why I watched the "Day After Tomorrow" for God-knows-how-many-times. This movie is from the creators of that very movie. I expect a full mind-blowing CGI! I can't wait. Watch the trailer, and I dare you to tell me you're not the least bit intrigued?
#5 Jennifer's Body

It's Megan Fox, as a cheerleader who was possessed by a demon who lures boys and kills them. Sounds tired? We'll just have to see. I want to see if the movie can bash critics who's already predicting this movie a flop. One thing is definitely predictable, theaters worldwide will be packed with guys when the movie premieres!
#6 My Sister's Keeper

This movie based on one of the many Jodi Picoult's books and knowing Jodi's style of writing (everyone can go ask Liza), this is another tear-jerker. It's about this girl being a sister and she feels that the purpose of her living, is to save her sister who's very sick. It opened in the US but who knows how long it will take for it to arrive in Malaysia. I love Cameron Diaz and her way of reaching out to viewers with her honest ways and genuine smile. There's something about Cameron which doesn't make you feel bad about yourself after watching her, just like Drew Barrymore. Ah, must watch this one. Serious.
#8 Toy Story 3

Do you really need me to elaborate on why you need to watch this?
#9 Alice In Wonderland

From Edward Scissorhands, to suave Captain Jack Sparrow, to candy maker Willy Wonka, to a famous outlaw John Dillinger.. to become MAD HATTER (freaky picture above) in Alice in Wonderland! Frankly, I've always been freaked out by this Disney cartoon because it's plain freaky, but I cannot wait to see how everything turns out, Tim Burton is behind this movie which is a huge plus point.
#10 Sherlock Holmes

I've always been interested in crime and mystery stories, and I used to read Sherlock Holmes online (shhhh) and there's a movie coming out now?! No reason why I shouldn't anticipate this. But, I'm not too sure about the character because Robert Downey Jr. is in it. In my mind, Holmes is this dashing, serious, well put together intellectual detective. Look at Robert's hair in the movie! He doesn't channel that vibe at all. Or, maybe I'm making a false judgement and have to eat my words later.
#11 Dorian Gray

Ben Barnes as Dorian Gray. My favorite leading man. One of my favorite classics. I'm very amped up to watch this movie, obviously, I've waited since the start of the year, and now the teaser trailer is released. I swear my heart stopped when I first watched it. After watching the trailer for about a hundred times, I'm so glad they chose Ben as Dorian because I cannot imagine who better.
#12 (500) Days of Summer

This deserves to be the last movie because I'm no doubt, saving the best for last. This is the first romance story that's been receiving rave and great reviews in a very, very long time. I'm seeing "marvellous performance" and "great story" everywhere I go. This is about how a boy (a very cute one, I might add) meets a girl and how he falls in love with her, but she doesn't. People and critics all over said that the story might sound normal, but the twists and ways in the story makes it excellent and very relatable. I genuinely can't wait to watch this movie. Anybody here thinks Katy Perry looks very much like Zooey Deschanel?
And this ends my post which took me a very long time to finish. Remember to enjoy the movies with a chocolate sundae! :)

SHAN ;
SAME HERE! I'm psyched for both of the movies. But, mostly 500 Days of Summer because Alice is the only Disney cartoon which freaks me out abit. Yes, but time passes really quickly. I call dips on the cute guy! :D
Mash ;
Oooh. Now I don't feel so weird watching it over and over again anymore! =] Yeah me too, so exciting right? LOL, we're like fanatic people. xD
I've been anticipating Alice in Wonderland and Dorian Gray since last year. Well, Harry Potter has already become more like a ritual and just for the sake of watching it.
Oh and My sister's keeper? The sister is purposely made out (sperm and ovum specially chosen out) so the genetics match the other sister. It's one of Jodi's best book so I'm looking forward to it too! =D
I've always wondered how they make movies like 2012 and Day After Tomorrow. It's hard to believe that all that is just animation. Ben Barnes is so gorgeous it hurts not to watch him. Megan Fox is so flawless it hurts to watch her. She isn't exactly a nice person and, sure I feel suicidal everytime I see her but I just cant seem to get enough of her. Why is it that a not-so-nice person like her has such gorgeous looks but some nice people look.. not-so-gorgeous? UGH it's so UNFAIR! =="
AND I CANT WAIT FOR TOY STORY 3 AND 500 DAYS OF SUMMER AND ALICE IN WONDERLAND, EITHER! Oh and Dorian Gray's premier date is so cool! 09.09.09 :D
Liza ;
Eau wow. Thanks for sharing =) Didnt know the girl was MADE. Yeah, same here about the HP ritual watching thing.
Kristal ;
Wait, Megan is not a nice person? Really? I didnt know that! I thought she was this actress who's very normal inside. But I guess, she'll forever be tagged "hot" instead of "talented"?
Yeah, can't wait for ALL of them. Hahaha, the date's cool like Ben =)
Well Duh? She always disses on other celebrities. =|
